Linear Perspective Words
8th graders revisited fundamental, linear perspective drawing techniques while trying their hand at using pointillism to show value changes. Students chose a significant or interesting word, used rulers to line letters up to a common vanishing point, and finished words with tiny clusters of dots to show light to dark value changes. Awesome job!

Rotational Watercolor Paintings
8th grade art students used rotational symmetry to design these beautiful paintings. An initial design was sketched onto measured triangles, and was traced and repeated around a square to complete designs. Students used heavy watercolor paper, and attempted a wide array of watercolor techniques to achieve brilliant color and value changes. Love these results!
